The fall season is a transitioning time for Florida bass. Water temperatures on West lake Tohopekaliga decrease from the upper 80’s in the summer to the 70’s in the fall. Choice of Bait: During the fall months: We fish the hydrilla and maiden-cane grass fields in 3 to 6 feet of water. Artificial lures and wild shiners both work well at this time of the year. But, if it’s lunker bass you’re after, wild shiners produce the really big ones.
