Great early fall Toho fishing

The bass fishing on West Lake Toho today was hot and heavy. Today’s trip was a reunion of three friends that grew up together. I heard lots of story’s from there high school days, and plenty of jokes. It was a good day of comradery and bass action. Fall Lake Toho bass fishing report

The fall season is a transitioning time for Florida bass. Water temperatures on West lake Tohopekaliga decrease from the upper 80’s in the summer to the 70’s in the fall. The falling water temperatures on lake Toho excite bass and they become more active, feed more aggressively, and feed for longer periods of time. Choice of Bait: During the fall months: We fish the hydrilla and maiden-cane grass fields in 3 to 6 feet of water. Artificial lures and wild shiners both work well at this time of the year. But, if it’s lunker bass you’re after, wild shiners produce the really big ones.
